Sorry I haven't posted in awhile! Things have been quite busy at Crown Premiums lately. We are excited about the programs that we are working on together with our customers and can't wait to share them with you. A new die cast replica takes one year to develop from the prototype stage to a delivered product. Why does it take so long?

After we've decided on a new item, gathered all specifications and worked out basic engineering, our China factory is ready to produce a prototype. The prototype is a pattern model that is precisely carved by hand. If the replica has any electronic or integrated chip (known as I.C.) function, that will be part of the prototype. Creation and approval of the prototype, including modifications, takes about two months.

After the prototype is approved and engineering drawings are completed, we start to fabricate the molds. The molds are made of heavy-gauge carbon steel and include die cast (which makes bon steel and include die cast (which make the zinc metal parts) and injection (which makes the plastic parts). Molds could also include metal stamping and dies for extrusions. Molds may produce more tan one part, this is called a "family" mold. For example, all plastic parts that will be chromed plated would be included in one mold. The carving process to fabricate the molds is a combination of hand work and computer automation and takes four months. The factory then tests the molds and assembles the replica samples to check part fit and function. Another month will be spent making final modifications, such as improving the overall fit of all parts and function of moving parts. Included in this final process is a polishing of the molds, which ensures a smooth surface for painting. Much of this work is done by hand.

Once the molds have been completed, we start the three-month production process. The first step is the molding, which for some of our items (such as the pedal cars) can involve over 150 different parts. After molding, the die cast parts go through a multi-stage deburring and polishing. Much of this is done by hand. The plastic parts are molded and the n separated into category by finish, which includes those to be painted, chrome plated, or not finished.

From David Brody: The above slide show consists of photos of our wood factory in Meizhou (pronounced May-Joe) China, which is located about 7 hours by car Northeast of Shenzhen city.

The pictures show the basic steps in the manufacturing of our 1:2 scale gas pump display. The pump manufacturing is a very labor intensive process requiring assembly/fabrication of the basic wood parts, 5 coats of paint and hand sanding between each coat. The final step adds a clear coat of polyurethane to protect the paint.

The electronics/LED lighting parts are manufactured in our Donguan facility, and shipped to Meizhou. Other parts such as the glass door/shelves and lock/key are sourced in southern China and sent to Meizhou as well. The final assembly and packaging is supervised by our Donguan facility QC team.

I am constantly trying to improve the SEO for Crown Premium's Website. . . I understand that my knowledge is limited compared to many others in regards to increasing SERP. . . however... I do know enough to believe the these things:
1. I am not paying someone 2,000/ month to improve the website.... I believe most of it is done. BUT... it would be nice to find (and pay) a nice, honest, SEO guru to consult with to offer suggestions, tweak, and improve... where are you?
2. It is hard to increase SERP when you are competing with thousands of other diecast model company websites....

Instead of using our stock pics, I am going to have some fun with our "home camera" and my husbands 1:12 Glo-mad and see what kind of pics I can take. . .so stay tuned!

Morning people! I am "testing out" using Blogs to market Crown Premiums. First, I am curious as to if it will increase visibility of our website. Second, I think it could be a great way to keep people updated on what is going on here. . . .Businesses and companies NEED to give us a call when they are looking for a company to help them with manufacturing diecast models for their next promotion. . . you guys would find out that are minimums are low, our quality high ("MINT"), our prices competitive, and lastly, our prices competitve!

So... today i just wanted to share with you one of my favorite die cast vehicles to use for promoting businesses. . . 1:43 Freightliner Tractor / Great Dane Trailer . . . the reasons are obvious: 1) Many companies utilizes tractor trailers to help transport their products/goods. 2) The DieCast Tractor Trailer has plenty of space on it for customization (e.g. Brands, Logos, Anniversary Celebration Logo) and 3) The perceived value of this is high!
